Adam Hasler studies applied and theoretical physics at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Previously, he worked as a digital product designer in Boston, Massachusetts for fun and profit. Difficult, complex problems and improving the the environment around him obsessed him from early on. The picture would remain incomplete until he discovered technology and disruptive business models. Expertise in these would empower him to bring about change in ways he could never have imagined previously.
Adam attended American University and has two degrees from there, one in international development and another in history, with a focus on the legacy of colonialism. Originally intent on pursuing a PhD, he quit graduate school to take over the ownership of the coffeehouse where he had worked throughout college. He has lived abroad four times, always in Latin America, and holds a certificate of Spanish Translation. During the last of these experiences, he transitioned to a life working in high tech by apprenticing at the preeminent digital art studio in Buenos Aires.
In 2023 he doubled down on his interest in sustainability by starting a graduate program in physics. A person of action, Adam best learns by doing and experimenting, and believes that creativity, potential, and big ideas mean nothing without action.
